Middle School- The Worst Years Of My Life
A friend recommended this book to me, and said it was a funny and interesting book. I must say that I can't recommend this book to anybody. First off, the plot seemed really weak. I just didn't get the point of breaking every rule in the student handbook, which is what Rafe Khatchadorian is trying to do. And, how many books have been written like this? I mean, COME ON! It seems really stereotyped, like the kid trying to "survive" middle school, and the bully. I can name a lot of books off the top of my head that were about "surviving" middle school. It was written in a graphic-novel style, and I do have a few good notes on this book. First, I like how it was written by both Rafe and "Leo", and describing Rafe's life when his Mom's boyfriend, Carl, nicknamed Bear, moves in. Overall, if you're looking for a quick book to read, you could read this. It just wasn't one of my personal favorites.

I Am Number Four
Pittacus Lore, a pen name for two very talented writers, has written a book that will captivate people of all ages. 9 children, from the planet Lorien, have come to Earth to try to make their race valiant again. Lorien was destroyed by the Mogadoriens, who live on the planet Mogadore. The Mogadoriens have followed the Loriens to Earth to try to destroy them. These 9 children have to be killed in order, and they have to live anonymously. Children numbers 1, 2, and 3 have been killed. John is number 4, and is next, if the Mogadoriens catch him. I Am Number Four describes in great detail the struggle for the Loriens to survive, and it will pull you in once you start reading it. I Am Number Four is definitely a book you would want to read.
